Guilty of Fraud but Still in Charge

Today the Sunday Times has reported that convicted fraudster, Schabir Shaik, despite found guilty of fraud is still listed as a director of the company primarily involved in the arms deal fraud scandal.  Not only is this man suppose to be dead already, but now he has a case of assault hanging over him threatening to revoke his parole.  The parole which, in the first place, was granted because he was diagnosed terminally ill and only had five months left to live... that was almost two years ago and he is still alive and kicking.

In my opinion that man is in direct violation of his parole conditions just by being alive!  When is the government going to wake up and smell the coffee that they are being taken for idiots?  Unless of course someone important is making damn sure all this man's needs are met.  The questions, though, are who and why?  Is some one buying his silence?  If so it would have to be someone tied to the fraud case and someone that stands to lose everything if Shaik talks.  It would also have to be someone who have extensive power in the government.  Now stop me if I'm wrong, but Mr. Shaik use to be the accountant to a Mr. Jacob Zuma or more precise now titled President Jacob Zuma.  You do the math.

Mr. Zuma walks free after it was found that there was insufficient evidence to convict in the arms deal fraud scandal whilst Mr. Schabir Shaik is found guilty of fraud in the above mentioned scandal and gets jail time.  Shortly after however Mr. Shaik is rushed to hospital and declared terminally ill by an medical professional who's credentials or loyalties are never brought into question.  The medical professional also declared that Mr. Shaik has only five months to live which formed the grounds of his medical parole.  Two years on... and Schabir Shaik is still walking around buying milk at the supermarket and playing golf.  Incidentally he was enjoying a leisurely day on the golf course when he was confronted with that very fact by a female journalist, whom I shall not name as her case is still on going, whom Schabir then proceeded to physically assault.  These are the irrefutable facts.

Mr. Shaik, after being found guilty of fraud and regardless is still a free man, I am sure is holding the key to uncovering the absolute facts.  If he should talk I believe that the full magnitude of the arms deal will be made public and some pretty powerful people will go down in flames.  However, as long as he is living his comfortable high life free from a jail cell and being somebody's plaything he will remain silent.

Well, that's all I have to say on this issue at the moment... as always your comments and opinions are welcome as I just love a lively debate.
